What Bugs Me
Not 1, but 2 cases of overpriced economic rice meals

Two STOMPers have complained that the economic rice meals they bought, at two different locations, were overpriced.

STOMPer Shannon was charged five dollars for a rice meal consisting of three side side dishes.

"This is the first and last time that I would buy a meal from this economic rice stall.

"I was charged five dollars for this miserable dish.

"I'm not a miser, but five dollars is a big amount.

Another STOMPer had an economic rice meal at a Kopitiam outlet in a hospital, which cost eight dollars.

Said the STOMPer:

"The rice meal had one drumstick, one vegetable dish and a sardine as side dishes.

"It cost eight dollars and the sardine's price is four dollars!"

U should have asked how much is the price of each and every item before talking it. Anyway, even after putting the food on your dish. U can still asked for the item to be removed, citing no money.

If you want to cut cost maybe you should pack your own lunch box as with today high cost of living... I believe the stall owner also have no choice, otherwise you order only rice with veg, I think it should be below 3 bucks.

High Property Price = High Rental = High Food Price,
Less Saving = Less Baby = Less Singaporean,
More Foreign Talent = More PR Issue = More Jobs Loss for Us.

Big Thank You To Our ...........

Those buying food from food court, hospital, shopping centre must check prices first.Their prices are always much higher than hawker centre...for sure.

with todays prices, $5 is reasonable but for $8 also depends on the location and dishes ordered. with such prices, the stalls are still being patronized and surviving?
"supply and demand" rules.
