Girls in heels: You might want to be extra careful when walking in this mall

STOMPer Shopping Addict feels that women in high heels should be careful when going to this shopping mall in Changi. They could get their shoes caught in the gaps between the tiles, said the STOMPer.

Previously, another STOMPer also had the same complaint of the design feature at the mall.

Said the STOMPer in an email:

"These pictures were taken at the newly-opened shopping mall called Changi City Point, opposite the Expo MRT station.

"While I was walking around the mall, I noticed that many women who wore high-heeled shoes were trapped by the gaps in the pathway adjoining the lift.

"This could result in broken ankles and injured knees.

"I wonder why the management chose to sacrifice safety for aesthetics.

"True, the floor tiles look beautiful but the gaps are actually a snare for the ladies who walk into the gaps without realising the danger."

I thought it is one of a good design ever in a mall.

I saw a small boy who walked on the path and then his leg stepped into the hole. And.....he cried.

Oh please, there are so many public areas having concrete slabs or drain/ manhole covers with gaps or holes, go complain to the authorities about these safety hazards and see what they will reply you. Walk with your eyes open my friend and don't always take things for granted that the road is always paved nicely for you to tread on.

I'm a lady and I wear heels everyday. Nothing wrong with the design . It's just they don't watch where they walk. Tsk tsk

Poor feng shui for this mall later... waste money for such design and construction.
