These pictures show the interior of a senior SCDF officer's room, with a call button labelled 'press for slave'. The SCDF have said that the sign has since been removed, and the officer will be counselled.
An SCDF spokesperson said:
"The sign has been removed.
"This was done in poor judgement on the part of an individual.
"We would like to assure that this is an isolated case.
"We are looking into the matter and will counsel the individual concerned."
In his contribution, the STOMPer had commented:
"Hi guys, this shows how an officer in the SCDF treats his NS man like 'slaves'.
"I personally think that it is not right as the NSmen are serving NS as citizens, not as slaves.
"Please comment on your views about this.
"Fight for the rights of NSmen!"
