What Bugs Me
Inconsiderate people burn offering at inappropriate places

In two separate incidents, STOMPers expressed their displeasure at the inconsiderate behaviour of some people who burnt offerings in inappropriate places.

STOMPer Sharania wrote:

"Why isn't there a fine for such atrocious behaviour?

"How NEA talks so much about littering or that they issue $500 fines for simply throwing a cigarette butt, but here it looks like a million ashes of cigarette butts but there isn't anyone to stop them or issue them fines.

"Why??

"How come such behaviour is so special that it can be simply ignore?"

In another incident, STOMPer EG said:

"At 11.10pm on a Monday, near the rubbish chute area surrounded by HDB blocks ... is this safe?"

Wait for a couple of years more and hopefully all these cave people's generation will die off and hopefully bringing their nasty cave habits into the graves with them too. I'm a civilised chinese. No racist comment here, just stating the fact.

Think they scared the gods or heavens don't know the offering is from them, so must specially burn at a spot by themselves to be more specific.
While I respect all religious practices, I do wish the devotees will execute more consideration. By burning in open areas, it causes lots of damage to public property, sometimes the plants and worse still, can cause fire hazards. It will be too late if one day someone's house catch fire because of this.
