Teacher leaves harsh comment for Pri 1 boy who just started school

STOMPer sadmummy was shocked by harsh comments left by her son's teacher on his spelling test sheet, considering that he had only just started school.

In the test sheet, the teacher had criticized the boy's handwriting as 'horrendous' while also asking him 'where's your dot?' after he wrote the letter 'i' without the dot.

The STOMPer wrote:

"My boy has just started school and within weeks, they had to prepare for a spelling test.

"I was flipping through his books and found a marked spelling test by his teacher.

"I was shocked at the comments left by the teacher.

"When I questioned him and asked what happened after he met his teacher, he told me that she 'threw the book on the floor'.

"This happened in a neighbouring school in Tampines."

It really looks like 'sadmummy' made this up. :/

Pen. Usage of words. Don't Pri 1's usually use pencils? 'Horrendous' for a Pri 1 to understand? ._.

Lol.

The teacher sure is very harsh...his/her English is also torn/broken... like in 1 of the pic,"where your dot"...should be "where is your dot?"

When the boy spells, crayon as crayeon, he is not entirely wrong, I would assume he uses his phonics...the teacher SHOULD be more encouraging and not dampening the boy's spirit...

From a psychological standpoint, the kid may hate English....

i think MOE should re-think its education system not so much on acedamic but on moral and code of conduct plus tolerance.

if this is made-up, you are as good as slandering the education profession. P1 student did not use this kind of exerise book. Obviously, p1 student do not use pen (you can ask even my grandparents, they will know that p1 student uses pencil).. If a p1 student did not know a word, why would they use punctuation? Usually they will try to spell out based on what they heard. This whole thing is suspicious. And lastly, if this is a p1 student handwriting, the teacher will compliment the kid instead of scolding him. You should see a real p1 handwriting on the first few week of school.
