What Bugs Me
Tight spaces in between bus seats can pose problem for commuters with long legs

The spaces between seats in a bus could be too tight for people who are taller or bigger than the average person, says STOMPer littlemisschatterbox. This comes after she couldn't fit properly into her seat on a double-decker bus due to her being taller than other women.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I was on board a double-decker bus when I was unable to squeeze my legs into the small space of the bus seat as I have a slightly above-average height for a woman.

"This made me wonder about other passengers who may have longer legs than me -- perhaps the space should be made bigger for them."

I'm a taller and bigger built than average guy and have faced the same problem too. If i were to spread my legs wide apart, no problem if i am sitting alone but when some one wanted to share your seat, i get hostile looks and some times i get deliberate pushing of elbows and knees as it left only a little leg space for them. And it doesn't help as i'm also have a very broad shoulder and huge frame. Hey, i'm already squeezing as close to the window as possible. Bus companies should look into this leg space and seats width problems as the next generation are getting taller. The newer buses are a little better but most bus still have this problem.
