STOMPer Henry was shocked to see this tiny child pressed up against the glass of an SMRT bus's door as it went on its way.
The STOMPer commented:
"I spotted this small child standing at the entrance of this SMRT bus along Bukit Batok Central behind the MRT station.
"The time was 12.25pm, date Jan 28.
"I failed to take note of the bus's service number as the driver quickly drove off after spotting me aiming my iPhone at him. The bus later turned at the traffic junction to Bukit Batok Avenue 1.
"As you can see in the photo, a child was left unattended at the entry step. The woman sitting comfortably at a front seat was probably the mother.
"This shows how irresponsible some parents can be where child safety is concerned. The bus-driver's 'don't bother' attitude is irresponsible too.
"All passengers especially young children should be seated if seats are available. The entrance and exit steps in a moving bus are the most risky areas for children or the elderly if the bus jerks unexpectedly.
"The bus company should really look into this matter."
