A STOMPer noticed cockroaches floating in the hand soap dispenser at a public toilet in Compass Point. The mall has since responded, saying this could have been an oversight during the long weekend.
Said the Compass Point spokesperson (Jan 26):
"As the toilets in Compass Point have a high frequency of usage, they are inspected, cleaned and washed every morning.
"During the mall operating hours, the cleaning supervisor will inspect the toilets several times a day to ensure their cleanliness.
"Our cleaning supervisor may have overlooked the soap dispenser due to the festive holidays over the long weekend.
"We have arranged for them to step up efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the toilets including the refill of soap dispensers.
"We welcome our shoppers to give immediate feedback either to our customer service counter located at Basement 1 or contact our cleaning supervisor or our Fire Command Centre (FCC) whose contact numbers are clearly reflected on the signage placed at the toilet entrances.
"Thank you once again for the feedback."
