What Bugs Me
Be careful while CNY shopping: This could have made you sick over the holidays

STOMPer Shocker's dad bought this pack of scallops from a wet market stall in Chinatown, only to find it had been expired for three years already. Remember to check everything you buy for the festive period -- some people might just be out to make a quick buck.

The STOMPer wrote:

"Due to the upcoming Lunar New Year, my dad went to Chinatown to buy food.

"One of the items he bought was this pack of scallop meat from a stall in the wet market.

"To my surprise when he brought home the item, I found that the expiry date was Jan 2009.

"Now my dad has to bring it back to the stall that sold this to him for a refund.

"I hope you guys will tell your parents to be aware of the expiry date on food items, as some stall holders will just sell their items quickly knowing people are rushing to buy for the New Year."
