Fengshan hawker centre is a mess -- and guess who has to clean up?

STOMPer Tan was horrified to see the mess at Fengshan hawker centre in the morning. Only one worker was doing the cleaning up, said the STOMPer.

Said the STOMPer (Jan 1):

"This is Fengshan hawker centre at 9am on 1 Jan 2012.

"Such a terrible sight greeted residents on New Year's day.

"Uncleared utensils, crockery, leftover food, litter all over...

"And only one worker is doing the cleaning up!"

The merchant association, who oversees the hawker centre management, should look into followings for improvement:
a) employing more cleaners at the hawker centre,
b) place some containers at different locations to collect the used plates and cutlery as well as put up signs to encourage the customers to place the utensils in the containers after finishing their meals,
c) constantly educate the people to keep the place clean by putting up more posters within the hawker centre.
