Fair or not? Cisco officer issues summons to lorry driver waiting for workers to board

STOMPer Raden was issued a summons from a Cisco officer while waiting for workers to board the lorry on company premises.

Wrote the STOMPer (Nov 22):

"This incident occurred last Saturday (19/11/11 at 11.30am).

"The story was, here we (the drivers) were waiting for our workers boarding the lorry to send them home when this lady simply started to get down from her bike.

"She also made a show of issuing summons by keying in our vehicle no. to her system despite us informing her of our purpose there.

"As far we know, we did not obstruct any passing vehicle and we were parked right in front of our own company premises, while waiting for our workers coming out to board the lorry to go back home.

"My main concern is to share this issue to other STOMP users and receive feedback.

"Does the lady know what her main duties are and how to show professionalism in her work?

"Or is she just simply showing off her power and just summons road users despite hearing the other party's explanation?

"Must I still pay for the summons later on? Is this fair?"

Certis Cisco hires rude incompetent fools who take pride in harassing members of the public, these losers just hide behind their flimsy "standard operating procedures" to intimidate you into backing down. These pathetic idiots are lowly-educated, over-the-hill wannabes who can't make the grade if their lives depended on it, but yet are given countless opportunities to abuse what little power they have.

Dear Stomper: Technically, if you are in the vehicle when the alleged offence is committed, your vehicle is not PARKED. If the summons you got alleges that you PARKED your car, then I feel you have a strong case to appeal. You are only not allowed to wait and park if there are zig-zag yellow lines on the the side of the road that your vehicle is at. However, be forewarned. I got into a same situation once before. I was booked by a neighbourhood police officer, even though I was in the car. I appealed, stating my car wasn't technically parked, since I was in the vehicle. My appeal was rejected, as expected, without any explanations. That's Traffic Police for you.

looks like the lorries are on a main road... not in company premises. need to tell the company to allow you all to park inside if not you will just get fine again.

Firstly, summon aunties/uncles dont earn commission at ALL.. If its 50cnt per car, u time 10car, its $5.. If dey summon, 20 car =$10, if one person one day $10x 26(minus 4off day)= $260.. cisco, lta, tp got so many strength of people.. All dis comp. will go bankrupt one day.. Use ur brain b4 posting that they earn commission.. If like that, i oso want to werk like them mah, got full power..!! Brainless..!!
