STOMPer Jia Hui was shocked to find all the power sockets in the library at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve all sealed up. Her notebook had run out of power and she needed to charge it.
The STOMPer asks why the sockets are not available for public use, since the library is a public facility.
The STOMPer said:
"I am an avid nature lover who visits Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve regularly for bird-watching as well as doing some research on birds using my notebook in the library.
"Last Sunday (Oct 23), when I was rushing to finish typing some research paper inside the Buloh’s library due for submission to my teacher, I realised that my notebook's battery power was about to run out.
"I then hurriedly try to plug in the power and was shocked to see that all the power point sources in the library were sealed with masking tape.
"Isn't the library in the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve meant for public use? Then why do they have to resort to sealing off the power point source?
"This nature reserve was built for public recreational purpose using taxpayers' money. How can they resort to such pathetic measures?
"I hope the relevant authorities like Nparks can look into this matter."

Do you know many people are making use of these power points to charge their handphones, laptops, ipods, etc. Most of these people have problem to charge their gadgets at home as many of them are rented where the owners would not allow them to use the electricity at home. They are FTs.
