Clean up after yourselves please: BBQ party mess left behind at Pasir Ris Park pit

STOMPer Susan feels that barbeque pit users should be responsible and clean up the mess from their own parties instead of giving more work to the park cleaners.

The STOMPer, who was taking a morning walk in Pasir Ris Park when she saw the mess, wrote:

"This mess was probably left behind from a barbeque party on Sunday evening.

"I've seen dirty pits before but this one takes the cake.

"The cleaners have an arduous task already.

"There was clearly no attempt made to clean the mess up - Surrounding area strewn with plastic bags, plates etc."

These are common sights especially in the early mornings on Sundays. The party goers seem to take it for granted to discard any unwanted or used objects lying about eventhough there are rubbish bins around. This is because they are aware there would be NO enforcement officers during these hours. Singapore is good for plastering jobs to appease the tourists. No point talking, it could not be improved afterall.

siao_Lang, I agree. NParks should trace the offender and ensure that a heavy penalty be imposed to such irresponsible user.
