What Bugs Me
Students throw powder at each other, leaving unsightly patches all over the place

STOMPer Valent saw a group of secondary school students throwing powder at each other at a playground in Bedok. When they were done, white powder was scattered all around.

Said the STOMPer (Sep 27):

"Students from a secondary school in Bedok were playing a 'powder throwing' game in the nearby playground.

"Their act 'vandalised' the playground. Everywhere was scattered with white powder stains.

"What's worst is that they were in their school uniforms, representing the school they're from with this such childish act.

"Students from the nearby primary school were watching their 'older' generation of students doing this.

"While playing, a boy shouted vulgarities when his eyes were hurt by the powder.

"The school was called up with regard to the matter but their reply was that they will look into this.

"Even after 20 minutes, no school authority came to investigate the matter.

"The school should look into the matter. Their students' actions was made worse as they wore their school uniforms.

"There is always a reason why residents call the school first rather than directly contact the police."
