What's worse than people burning joss paper at scattered places? An entire congregation burning paper in a huge burning cage near ground floor homes, of course. STOMPer LK spotted this mass burning session in progress in Woodlands.

"These residents have come together for what seems to be a mass paper offering burning session just beside a fire engine access at Woodlands Avenue 5.
"If a fire were to happen at this spot, the fire engine might not be able to access the blaze. Fire engine access areas like this found in HDB estates should not be allowed by the TC and the erecting of such a large cage should be banned especially when they are so close to the HDB blocks which have ground floor units in them.
"I thought there are rules on where joss paper can be burnt. Though the practise of incense burning during the hungry ghost month festival is respected by all, there should be a line drawn somewhere as to where the burning can be done.
"I hope that in the future, sensitive spots like the fire engine access should be disallowed for burning joss paper."
