First, the cabby took the wrong route and did not apologise, then he threatened to make STOMPer ahhock and his fellow passengers alight in the middle of the expressway.
Said the STOMPer about the experience (Aug 9):
"Refrain from taking this particular Premier taxi (SHD 1062Z).
"This rude cab driver took the wrong route, did not bother to apologise and threatened to make us alight at the expressway road shoulder.
"He did not feel repentant for his act; instead he slowed down while at the expressway road shoulder for awhile and took off again which showed that he really had the intention to ask us to alight.
"He has such a bad attitude and even raised his voice at us. He was really fierce and we were really appalled by his behaviour.
"His irresponsible act should be made known to all taxi passengers.
"Imagine if the passengers had been some tourists? That would have tarnished Singapore's image and reputation immediately, just because of a single person's irresponsible act.
"Let's bar this cab driver to prevent him from being so reckless and socially irresponsible to our society."

If really that was true, you should call 1800-Lta or e-mail to them the unfortunate incidence.
Don't worry and don't get angry,they will take very severe actions on that particular taxi driver.
Try it now, you won't be regretted.
Here is an advice, do not chat with cab driver when unsure. If uncertain, just repeat your destination. If you are getting a bit too uncomfortable, just give a reason and alight in the location. Safety first.
