Unsightly: Foreign workers sleep openly in public park

STOMPer May thinks that it is unsightly and inconsiderate of these workers to sleep on park tables and benches in the day, when other park users are around.

The STOMPer said:

"These foreign workers were sleeping on the tables and benches at the park near my home.

"I think this is very inconsiderate and also very unsightly.

"People want to go to the park to enjoy the scenery and just sit at the tables to rest, especially in the day, but these workers use the tables as beds, is this allowed?"

at night they trying to find spot to sleep. who knows in the day they suddenly become so obvious.

lax stomper. ppl with no homes also need some place to sleep right.

i think u shud be considerate, u go work see... i've worked as a builder before... it's hard work and luckily my boss give me breaks... think of it, if not for them, would u have beautiful houses to live in? they deserve it

Stomper maybe one day your children will sleep like this if you keep whinning over small things like this. Spare a thought for our homesick FWs pls !

It is unsightly but live and let live. The workers r probably tired. If they can sleep in such conditions, let them rest. My block has manta such workers napping sometimes even at night. I suspect their living quarters r very unpleasant to stay in. Someone once said he wanted to report them to the police... and was actually surprised when I told him not to. They r not drinking or littering or causing trouble, they just need a good rest. Why report to police?!

Be thankful that most of us hv better living conditions than those sleeping in public places.

So many empty benches. People die die must use those? Yah I'm sure Singaporeans are so damn free on a wkday afternoon to do park strolling and enjoy the "scenery" la. Please wake up your idea ..

I guess stomper wont understand coz maybe she has not tried working in her miserable life or too pampered by the husband or parents to understand the morality of life out in the real world..
