So unhygienic: Bowls with leftover food dumped on floor of hawker centre

STOMPer MK was disgusted when he saw bowls of leftover food left behind on the floor of a hawker centre in Marine Parade. So unhygienic, he remarked.

Said MK in his contribution (June 19):

"Leftover food left on floor of hawker centre at Marine Parade.

"It invites pests and is unhygienic.

"Did the staff 'run away' and leave the bowls behind?"

No choice, cleaners no enough... nowadays we got to pay more for self services - self allocation of seats, self cleaning of tables/chairs and self order/carry of food...

But do you think they'll wash it clean enough for use? Normally what they did was rinse in a bucket of soap water, then put it aside and wipe it dry. Its not clean if the soap water did not remove the germ on the plate which was placed on the floor.

Whats wrong with it? they will not serve it to customers, be disgusted if they will not WASH the plates and serve it to you.

I was there last night as well, I was going to have dinner there, but the state of that Hawker Center was a disaster, that picture does not show the state of the place.
