What Bugs Me
Teacher who praises ACS boys now boasts of uncle who's TV chief in China

The 22-year-old relief teacher, who raised eyebrows when she recommended dating only ACS(I) boys, is in the limelight again. This time she claims that her uncle is "the head of Sichuan Provincial TV Network" and that netizens should be wary of directing "disrespectful remarks" at her.

Miss Jiang Lai had recommended dating only ACS(I) boys in her blog, because boys from other top schools are 'boring' and 'ugly'. She later defended her comments as being 'satirical', and suggested holding a 'talent pageant' featuring school boys.

In her latest blog entry, apparently directed at the principal of Hwa Chong Institution, Dr Hon Chiew Weng, she claims that she has sent a compilation of the details of those who directed disrespectful remarks at her to her TV network head uncle in China.

The Singapore PR, who moved from China when she was six, wrote:

"Dr Hon (principal of Hwa Chong Institution) doesn’t know who he’s dealing with.

"He didn’t even bother to see me.

"He doesn’t know that my uncle is the head of Sichuan Provincial TV Network.

"He doesn’t know that I have screen printed all the disrespectful remarks directed at me as a PRC.

"He doesn’t know that I have records of all disrespectful remarks directed at me as a PRC in my phone.

"He doesn’t know that I have already compiled names, IP addresses, phone numbers, height, occupation into a PDF file and sent it off to my uncle.

"I specially selected all Hwa Chong Institution students, and had my conversations with them in SMS and Facebook recorded. With photos, interests, family members."

My PRC cleaner told me these facts herself about her fellow comrades.
1) PRCs love to fight and they solve every single issue in their lives physically.
2) PRCs love to pull strings & boast about their relationships. If you have powerful relatives or friends in PRC, you can get away with anything.
Pathetically they bring these cultures to Singapore without knowing things DO NOT work these ways here.

She seems like a misanthropic individual who delights in creating schism in society.

Prima facie reading of her blog indicates that she already ran afoul of our Sedition Act (Cap 290). Not smart.

- “Publication": includes all written or printed matter and everything whether of a nature similar to written or printed matter or not containing any visible representation or by its form, shape or in any other manner capable of suggesting words or ideas, and every copy and reproduction or substantial reproduction of any publication; ((Fulfilled - by her online postings)

- "Seditious tendency": A seditious tendency is a tendency.....

(d) to raise discontent or disaffection amongst the citizens of Singapore or the residents in Singapore;

(e) to promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races or classes of the population of Singapore…

(Both limbs fulfilled - Her postings have instigated discontent amongst residents in Singapore and promoted ill-will between local Singaporeans and new migrants (especially migrants from PRC) as evidenced by the flaming going on in prominent public forums like STOMP)

- “Offences” Any person who —

(a) does or attempts to do, or makes any preparation to do, or conspires with any person to do, any act which has or which would, if done, have a seditious tendency;

(b) utters any seditious words;…

shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction for a first offence to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or to both, and, for a subsequent offence, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years; and any seditious publication found in the possession of that person or used in evidence at his trial shall be forfeited and may be destroyed or otherwise disposed of as the court directs.

Someone inform her.
