STOMPer Maxine has been living in Japan for almost a year. During a short holiday here in Singapore, the STOMPer was put off by the dirty toilets here. According to her, the conditions of the female toilets have worsened over the past year.
The STOMPer comments in an email:
"The toilets in ION Orchard and Ngee Ann City were new and clean, but the female users still left stains on the toilet seat, making it unhygienic to use.
"But in Jurong Point, the toilets were really badly maintained, with cockroaches crawling around.
"I think the authority did put in a lot of effort to maintain the upkeep of toilets. However, the more important element that might be lacking, is educating the general public.
"Some points for users to note: Please do not step on the toilet seats, dispose sanitary pads into the bins and not leave them around and please do not mess up the toilet seats.
"Please urinate accurately into the toilet bowl - it is very sad to speak the obvious, as though we are training dogs here.
"If Singapore can be so successful in instilling fear and caution in people in terms of drug trafficking, I am sure with the necessary efforts put in, the standard of toilets in Singapore can be improved."

Dun any how pull the "heartlanders" term here leh!!!
Unless u r kenna the Samantha syndrome OR that Samantha from HV, herself!!!
RED ALERT!!!
Most male toilets suck too. But difficult to compare as 99.9% of us choose to stand than sit. Only difference is some bother to flush, some doesn't. LOL.
if all users start cleaning and washing the bowl each time they used... there will be long queue all e way to the hotel / shopping entrances.
we all are aware of the state of the toilets... how many of us actually clean it... haizzzzzzzzz
