Girls in MRT campaign look like 'getai stars' from Hungry Ghost Festival

Don't they look like getai singers from the Hungry Ghost Festival, asks STOMPer Verminator, referring to the trio featured in the graciousness campaign on MRT trains.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I've been seeing these "Give Up Your Seat" public service stickers all over the MRT trains.

"Doesn't anyone feel that the characters look like getai singers, normally seen only during the Hungry Ghost Festival?

"Chinese New Year was just over not long ago.

"Perhaps courtesy messages can be in better taste?"

The three women are better known as the Dim Sum Dollies, a music cabaret group in Singapore, played by Selena Tan, Emma Yong and Pamela Oei.

They are known for their loud and colourful costumes, and were appointed as ambassadors for a graciousness campaign by the Public Transport Council in 2010.
