What Bugs Me

Gross! There're worms in my durian but seller won't let me exchange
There were worms in the durians bought by STOMPer disappointed but she was not allowed to exchange her rotten durians for new ones. According to the annoyed STOMPer, the seller didn't allow an exchange because the durians have been consumed.
Said the STOMPer:
"My friend and I bought durians from the store in front of Bedok's Blk 85 market.
"The seller said he will give us a discount and will choose nice and tasty durians for us.
"However, the durian which he picked, has worms in them!
"I bought three durians and the first one I consumed had worms. I wasn't even allowed for exchange when I went back, as we've eaten part of it.
"I am utterly disappointed with the shop!"

There was once I bought 5durians for a takeaway, and he opened and let me check the meat inside. But when I brought it home, it was to my disgust that I found out 3 out of 5 durians, the unchecked side were either rotten or with rock-hard fruit. I immediately stomped down and argued with the guy before agreeing to give me 2 durians as an exchange.
I realized later from my friend that they would give bad durians to those not eating there, thinking that we stayed far and most probably won't return to exchange. But they try to give better ones if you eat there a chances of customers exchanging on the spot is much easier.
Anyway that was the first and last time I patronized that place as I found another place where I am very satisfied with the durians. :)
Just my experience.
Anyway, the seller also don't know how to do business. Three satisfied customers are always better than one angry customer. For that one customer can either bring in tens over friends or publicly spread your bad name to hundreds.
Would you remove the worm and like you said, because it is tasty, so it attracts worm.
I would. It's not rotten/decomposed. If you feel that the worm infected part is not suitable for consumption, then don't touch that piece. With worm as your inspector, you can be sure that this durian is 95% not filled with chemicals such as pesticides.
People always want to pay so high for ORGANIC food but see the nature's inspectors in the product want to kpkb.. too sheltered?

There is no law applicable. So don't be an idiot making a complaint to nea or case. You can bring it to your own grave.
