After a hard day's work, the sight of a stairwell blocked by a wooden plank is hardly welcome. STOMPer Jasmine's next-door neighbour did exactly that today, inconveniencing her.
Said Jasmine in her email (Mar 14):
"Inconsiderate neighbour blocks the stairway with wooden plank...twice!
"I just came home to the sight of a blocked stairway...courtesy of my next-door neighbour.
"This is not the first time this has happened; the last time being after the long CNY weekend.
"The address is Block 266, Boon Lay Drive, on the 12th floor.
"I take the stairs daily and this is really causing a lot of inconvenience.
"I called the West Coast Town Council last month regarding this matter, and they've promptly taken action by removing the blockage and sending out warning letters.
"I'll be calling them again as soon as their phone lines open tomorrow.
"I just want to appeal to all flat-dwellers: PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE!
"You are not just causing an inconvenience, you are also potentially causing a fire hazard by blocking the common corridors and stairways with your personal or unwanted stuff!"

Complain to TC? It'll worsen the relationship. Don't expect anything effective. They are nothing more than just employing ah nehs and bangalas clearing the rubbish chutes. They are not competent to settle disputes between neighbors. Count yourself unluncky to such backward citizens living next to you.
