Last Thursday (Dec 23), STOMPer andy was disgusted by piles of trash which were left inside a lift of a block of flats in Serangoon. These items have since been removed, says the Town Council.
Wrote the Ang Mo Kio - Yio Chu Kang Town Council spokesperson in an email (Dec 27):
"We refer to STOMPER andy's feedback on 23 December 2010, titled 'So irresponsible of residents to leave piles of trash in lift'.
"Our response to the article is as follows:
"Following STOMPer andy’s feedback, the Town Council has been alerted, and immediate action was undertaken to remove the items.
"The Town Council would like to request the cooperation of residents to avoid placing unwanted items inside the lift.
"As such, we have displayed educational posters on notice boards outside lifts to encourage positive behavior.
"We thank STOMPer andy for the feedback."
