Diesel spill at Marsiling carpark cleared, says TC

The diesel spill at a Marsiling carpark, which could have been caused by oil leaks from vehicles, has been cleared, says Sembawang Town Council.

This was in response to STOMPer Kenneth Khor's complaint about skidding twice while driving slowly in the carpark.

In an email to STOMP (Nov 23), a spokesperson from Sembawang Town Council said:

"We have deployed our cleaners to remove the oil stains and wash up the deck.

"We have noticed that this oil spilling incident has recurred over the past few days and we suspect that it could be due to oil leaks from vehicles.

"We have put up notices at the staircases and entrances as well as extended copies of the notices to all vehicle owners at Deck 3C to remind them to check on their vehicles.

"We will continue to monitor the situation closely."

The diesel spill is back again today. I saw the cleaners mopping it around 7.45pm when I came back. Any idea how to catch the culprits?
