Poor customer service and below standard chalets at Goldkist

STOMPer Lim is annoyed with the service standard and the way he was treated at Goldkist chalet. On top of that, the chalet he was given was below standard and was gross even though it has been renovated he says.

In an email, Lim wrote:

"The condition of the chalet is totally below standard.

"Today (May 29), I booked a chalet at Goldkist for $188. At the reception, we were the only ones to check in and the rest there was complaining about spoiled air-conditioning.

"Some of the guests even said ‘without air-conditioning, I’m dying. I have been waiting for one hour for the repairman already!' Meanwhile, the rest of the guests were complaining about screwed up bookings.

"In the rooms there were spoiled doorknobs some even had no doorknob. The place was really gross even though they claimed that it has been renovated.

"On top of that, at night, a security came to tell us off that we could not use our own barbeque pit!

"We brought our own because their pits are really expensive as it cost $30 for one. That’s three times the price of a pit from Costa Sands.

"This is totally ridiculous. Their attitudes were really bad as well. They even used bright torchlight as if we were criminals.

"I will never visit in this resort again. Costa sands is still the best."

i totally agree, they need to change most if not all the staff at the counter. they have no customer service at all. the place after renovation makes no difference at all. everything is the same, maybe some paint work. and it is so expensive now too. I am definitely not coming back.

Hei; I was there too on Saturday the 29.

True enough we paid S$188 per day and all that we get is BULLSHIT. I've paid S$30 for the "BBQ TRAY" to use for a day, and on top of that I have to pay a deposit of $50 for the Chalet, and again I have to pay an additional of S$20 for using their Eletric Kettle.

Check-In at the Lobby counter was horrible, it seems like the staff is confused or ?????.

The security guard, lagi siol, we smile at him but he have no sense of courtesy, stare at us and move his face. What? if don't like our face okay lah, but don't be so rude.

Somemore wanna complain, TV remote control also cannot work, keep on calling the Service Counter, yeah they keep on saying on the way until we check out.

My bad experience came 2 years ago and till now, the same issues are being raised by fellow stompers. Wonder if they are ready for business or just fooling around...

Yeah i was there a few days ago! My white walls was filled with grey patches/footprints/handprints. The toilet was dim and dirty. I had to clean up everything and mop the floor too. I waited for an hour to check in. Bbq pits' price are soaring high and we have to return it ourselves-quite ridiculous. I called the technician to repair my aircon, he took 3hours to arrive and when he came, he told me he was new and he do not know how to repair the aircon. How brilliant.
It's more expensive than other chalet. At least it should be on par with costa sands.

i been there too they really sucks..poor customer service and not well maintain chalet i ever see . >THEFUNUP2U don't have to know the place you will surely regret.

I went there once and I wouldn't want to stay there at all. Basically, there are no renovation and probably just some simple paintwork and repair.
