Would you get on a bus with tyres like this?

STOMPer Boon was shocked to see the state of the tires on this SMRT number 854 bus. With tyres in such poor condition, the driver might lose control of the vehicle at any time.

In an email today (Mar 26), the STOMPer wrote:

"This morning, bus 854 stopped at the bus stop opposite Block 247 along Hougang Avenue 3.

"The tyres on the bus were almost bare, and the whole layer of rubber could be seen coming off."

well i believe stomper say that the vehicle stopped at the bus stop, meaning its not moving. So i duno why u guys are flaming stomper...and now the tibs also got purple in it. Its those double carriage kind.

unbelievable!!who dare believe their eyes!!If tis story is true,then minister of transport need to be informed.Human life or safety cannot be taken lightly.Whole mgmt of SBS from top to bottom must be reprimand for major negligence which may result in bus driver losing control of bus moment tyres burst-off while traveling at no less than 50km/hr....

Which sbs transit workshop u went to take this picture of an out of a service bus?
Cos servise 854 is an smrt service bus, which is yellow in colour, that operates from yishun to bedok.
Only sbs transit is purple
