STOMPer Book Gigabytes wonders why the powerpoints at Bukit Merah Library are all covered when there is wireless internet access available there.
“What happens when we use our laptops there and it runs on battery? What are we supposed to do?” the library user questioned in an email to STOMP.
He recounted:
“It has been a long time since I last patronised Bukit Merah Library.
“I was so surprised that now the library had erected up these funny seats which I don't think users can sit for long. Also I notice that the electrical powerpoints all have been covered up.
“Since the library has the wireless@sg network, they should open up all the powerpoints so that when our laptop is low on battery we can use the electricity.
“By charging a laptop how much electricity can we use?”

Why should they be opened in the first place?
Since the HDB flat has the water pipe network below your HDB flat, they should open up all the water taps so that when our car is dirty we can use the water.
By charging a laptop how much electricity can we use?”
Can't u buy a spare battery ? Cheapskate !
Instead of whinning, why not come up with constructive ideas and designs on fee-paying electricity solutions and propose to the National Library.
