A STOMPer found it extremely disturbing that this man would tattoo an image of the Hindu Elephant God, Lord Kanesha, on his leg, without any thought to the implications of his actions.

“Why would he put a sacred image on his leg?” the STOMPer questioned in an email to STOMP.

“Even if he was a devotee of Lord Kanesha, that is not the right place to tattoo the image.”

The STOMPer added:

“These pictures were taken in the MRT by a friend of mine.

“The tattoo image on the leg of this guy is disturbing.

“It is an image of our Hindu Elephant God (Lord Kanesha).

“I wonder what the tattoo artist was thinking when he agreed to do this for the guy and I am also puzzled as to why that guy would want to put a sacred image on his leg.”

By tattooing the Hindu God on the leg, what offence did he committed? I don't understand...We often see people tattoos of Chinese and Christian related to God and just see it as a piece of art. Do the other religions complain as well? Well...up till now I haven't seen people complaining until I saw this Stomper complaining about tattooing Hindu God.

Just relax and view it with an open heart.

I think he is a chinese so he may not really know that it is disrepectful to the Hindu God. He may have it tattooted because it looks nice that's all. Being respectful to certain God, each of us has their own way. We can't judge it off by looking at it. Example: A Buddhist fellow still eat Beef though it is not allow in this religion. But doesn't mean he does not show respect to the God. Isn't it?
