A STOMPer was puzzled when he spotted white smoke emerging from the garden of a house at East Sussex Lane.
In an email to STOMP today (Mar 18), the STOMPer says:
“These pictures were taken from the top floor of Blk 5 at Ghim Moh Road. It was just after the rain and I was surprised to see white smoke belching out from the garden of a private bungalow a short distance away.
“It then dawned on me that an hour earlier I had passed this bungalow at East Sussex Lane and the gardener was piling some pieces of a tree trunk and dead leaves together.
“He could have lighted the fire and allowed the smoke to spread to the vicinity.
“As there was a strong gale, the smoke spread for at least a distance of 500 metres.
“I hope NEA officials will visit this area more often to put a stop to this serious air pollution.”
Therefore, it was a FOGGING process.
