A STOMPer, who lives at Block 253 Jurong East, is upset with shop owners there who extend their businesses on the walkway in front of their shops, blocking the way of residents.
Said the STOMPer:
"Be it on weekdays or weekends, you can see residents either queueing or pushing one another just to walk through the walkway from one end to the other.
"You can see the bikers at the bicycle shop who crowd in the middle of the walkway to either purchase or repair their bicycles, or pump air into their tyres.
"They even have small gatherings and if you try to walk, they will stare at you or won't even budge.
"And you can choose the furniture you want from the furniture shop there, even from the entrance of the lift.
"That is how many furnitures they have. Not only that, they have displayed their furnitures all over the place, along the small walkway at the staircase behind their shop.
"The place is so freaking crowded that you can faint just to past through.
"Then the newly-opened hair salon promote their services with banner standees occupying the space at the walkway.
"I saw an old man tripping in front of my eyes and all they said was, 'sorry ah'."
