STOMPer J was appalled to see sexually explicit scenes during an action movie on Starhub's Vannathirai channel. The STOMPer felt uncomfortable because they had three children watching the movie with them.

The STOMPer says:

"Recently, on Mar 7 at 12pm, my family and I (including three young children) sat down to watch a movie on Starhub's Vannathirai channel.

"The movie was 'Akku' and was supposedly an action movie.

"However, there were explicit sexual scenes that lasted for a good five minutes, which is very long when you have young children waiting to watch a movie and enjoy family time.

"We did not expect explicit sexual scenes to appear and had to usher our children into their rooms until it was over.

"I am not against Starhub airing movies with sexual scenes or violent scenes but certainly not during the day on a Sunday when the whole family is at home.

"Perhaps Starhub could learn from the cable channel in Australia which airs all adult content movies after 8pm, after a little reminder that children are not advised to watch any programmes after this hour as programmes aired from 8pm are meant for adults.

"Or perhaps Starhub could air such movies during weekdays when children are at school or after certain hours in the evenings when children are most likely not watching tv or are being monitored when watching tv."

i agree with stomper j. starhub should do like australian t v. childrens' mind should not be corrupted at their schooling age . no doubt nowadays they know what is sex all about. but science and biology cannot be compared with pornography and r rated cenemas. so be considerate when airing such shows.

Why usher your kids into their rooms? I believe you wanted to watch too. You should have just switch channels. If you didn't want to watch the explicit scences in the 1st place, you wouldn't have usher them into their rooms. They didn't ask why? Surprise that your kids are so obedient.
