STOMPer Pissed says that toilets in MRT stations are being used as meeting points for the gay community in Singapore. He says he had even heard them having sex in one of the cubicles.

The STOMPer recounts his own experience after reading STOMPer Chua's posting on peeping toms who prey on other men in toilets at the Lavender and Ang Mo Kio stations.

According to STOMPer Pissed, he was using the urinal in the Clementi MRT station toilet at about 10pm one evening when he saw several adults in their 30s and 50s standing there, peeping at each other's private parts.

When he used the cubicle the next time he used the same toilet, he overheard moanings and 'dirty' words being spoken by men in the next cubicle. From their accent, he believed that the men were China nationals.

As the STOMPer was washing his hands at the basin afterwards, he said a man smiled at him, presumably inviting him to engage in gay activities.

When the STOMPer reported the matter to staff at the control station, he got the impression that they were already aware of the gay activities because they were too quick in telling him that they were going to inform the police, without even asking for his particulars.

"I assume they just brushed me off with a 'logical answer' and took no further action," said the STOMPer.

The STOMPer did his own research on the Internet and found out from gay forums that MRT stations, shopping centres and men-only saunas are popular hangouts for the gay community here.

Oh please. there are even saunas that cater to gay men.

I went to one thinking it was a straight sauna in North Bridge Rd. Gosh, this sauna Keybox, was overrun with naked men ....

was molested in the jacucci..... and went out to the rest area only to find men engaging in unprotected sex.

Is that allowed ?

Should the police not come in and close such establishments ? At least stop the spread of STDs.

Don't be so paranoid about gay activities. Since singapore don't approve gay sexual activities and families don't approve gay relations, this kind of things happen.
I know it's kind of annoying when someone peep your private parts. But you can always stand in an angle where they can't see you. By right you should not give eye contact to another guy in toilets. If you just pee, wash hand and come out without looking at others you won't even realise the existance of othe gays there. When you look at them, you are giving wrong impression. Singaporeans, stop overacting. Too much drama. You purposely kepoh go and research about gay activities and complain here. And so many immaturely support this nonsense.

I think there is no way for the MRT companies to close all their public toilets simply because of an isolated case of gays patronising there causing great inconveniences and annoyance to others. To close the MRT station public toilets would not cause any effect as it may give even greater inconvenience to commuters. In fact, overall not only the MRT toilets might become their hangouts; almost all public toilets especially those which are deserted and quiet which logically speaking can become their hangouts. So a deterrent can be applied here. One way to prevent engaged in their present is to adopt the "Male Restroom Etiquette." Such practice can be learnt from www.youtube.com under the "Male Restroom Etiquette." It is a good practice to learn.
