STOMPer Don'tBluff thinks that guys should be careful this holiday season after reading The Straits Times' article on more people settling molest cases with money. It's so easy for women to scam men this way because their reputations are at stake, he says.

The Straits Times reported today (Dec 24) that more men are settling molest cases with cash in order to avoid a criminal record, according to lawyers. They are also apparently paying larger sums to compound their cases.

Here's what the upset STOMPer wrote in an email today (Dec 24):

"The Straits Times say there are more cases of women scamming money from men by claiming they molested them. The men don't want the criminal record or their families to know about it, so they settle out court, paying cash.

"This is terrible, it is blackmail by another name, as the men involved have to pay or have their reputations destroyed.

"Need money for Christmas shopping or expensive gifts? Just stand near some drunk guy and scream 'molest'!

"In Singapore all that is needed to soil a man's good name is an accusation from a woman that she was molested by him. No proof is needed.

"I ask you, is this fair? If the case goes to court, the shame alone is punishment enough, so most men pay upfront to avoid the trouble.

"It's good that the system protects women from sexual predators, but what about when some women exploit it for their own ends?

"Guys, be careful if you're going clubbing alone this festive season. If you're not careful your night out may cost you much more than you expected!"
