Something should be done about the many stray cats at East Coast

That was STOMPer Dog Lover’s sentiment when he encountered so many of them at East Coast Park.

In his email to STOMP today (Nov 20), the STOMPer wrote:

“These pictures were taken at the East Coast Park near the East Coast Lagoon Food Village.

“I saw many cats sitting and sleeping on the stone benches and tables. Some looked ferocious and threatening.

“The hungry ones went around the barbecue pits to forage for food. Many picnickers avoided the tables for fear of cats.

“If these are stray cats, then NEA and SPCA should put them in the proper place and now allow them to breed uncontrolled.”

Cats are not as ferocious as those stray dogs.Stary dogs comes in a pack habis ah sure kena chased by it.Cats you just shoo them away they will go away...Aiya the cats sensed that you like dogs so they become ferocious towards you lah.What kind of animal lover are you.I like both cats and dogs too.Cats know how to poop and pee in a proper place(they dig a hole in the gound)whereas dogs just shit anywhere they like.I remembered going to school must go through a whole "maze" of dog shit in order to reach the bus stop.

You have reflected yourself to peoples in STOMP how immature and stupidity thinking that your brain generate thus it drove you to post this unethical posting at stomp. DOGS are also one of an animal in the world and your name reflected that you loves one animal which has been created in this universe way before you are born thus CATS are also an animal so its ashamed that your nickname has got about your love declaration with an animal.. Stomper DOG LOVER’S

Basically by your stomper name it has reflect that you prefer DOGS rather than CATS. However does it ever occur to you that CATS are also living things that breathe in the universe. They are creatures which GOD created same as DOGS that you prefer and love so much. For once please use your human brain mechanism to think maturely and wisely before you post this kind of issues at STOMP. To you CATS that loiter around and that you called them FEROCIOUS living things which maybe you visualize it as if these CATS might bite your head off when you walk pass by them doesn't make any common sense.

dude, do you think the word ferocious is a fitting description for a domestic cat?

ferocious dogs yes, ferocious tigers yes, but ferocious domestic cats?

would you get mauled by a domestic cat? they don't attack unless provoked anyway.

with the recent spates of cruelty towards cats, they should exhibit that little self defense.
