Construction machines left dangerously near pathway

A concerned STOMPer is worried that these construction machines can hurt pedestrians in Bukit Merah as there are no barriers or warning lights at all.
He hopes that the relevant authorities will look into this matter and take appropriate action.
Pluto Walker told STOMP via email today (Aug 1):
"Construction machinery such as the excavator are being parked dangerously in residential area in Bukit Merah Central.
"There are so many pedestrians walking along the pathway, why aren't there any barriers being placed to surround them?
"This area is also quite dark and there seems to be without any form of warning lights.
"Can HDB look into this area to ensure that public safety is being taken care of?"

agree with Plutto Walker that the area needs barricading. but the machines are parked away from pedestrians and pose no immediate danger. the only danger is the grass underneath!

how the machines could harm you unless you walk straight onto the machines, right? They were parked on grass verge, not on footway....
