Mystery bug with waving tail has a painful sting

STOMPer Janet says this exotic-looking insect stung her arm while she was waiting in line at Yishun Polyclinic causing her sharp pain.

The STOMPer wrote:

"Check out this weird-looking creature!

"As I was waiting at the polyclinic for my turn to be called, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my right arm.

"To my surprise, I saw this tiny little insect on my arm with its tail moving left and right.

"I immediately used a piece of paper to remove it from my arm. The tail was actually embedded in my arm.

"I have never seen such a weird-looking little insect like this so I quickly took a few shots of this creature with my iPhone."
