STOMPer Jason feels that this open air carpark at Jurong East Street 13 is too dark for comfort as it is too dim for drivers, pedestrians and those who need to load or unload goods.
Said Jason:
"Darkness at the open space carpark J57 at Block 131/132/134 Jurong East Street 13.
"Is this a car-park or cargo place?
"Do you know what the lux level is given at this particular carpark? It's just below 11 lux.
"Is this an acceptable result? Please check with LTA, they are able to advise!
"Are you able to read the sign without lights? Why was there no barrel/core installed? This will help delivery personnel when they are loading or unloading their goods.
"This may endanger human lives, especially young children when they are walking along the carpark.
"Beyond that, the way some staff there treated us was unreasonable after we explained that it was too dark to see the clearing.
"The person said, 'You can't see meh, the words written clearing on the ground, don't make excuses.'
"Hope that HDB will be able to install new street lamps to brighten up the area and that the third party (HDB contractor) can enlighten those in the area as they walk around and not insult or argue with them."
