Cups, cigarette butts and food wrappers litter overhead bridge at ITE West

STOMPer Z is irked by the amount of trash left on this overhead bridge in Bukit Batok. She suspects students from the nearby school are the culprits.

The STOMPer wrote:

"These pictures were taken on an overhead bridge in front of ITE West along Bukit Batok Road.

"This is daily occurrence and I believe the culprits are students of ITE.

"I've called the school to inform them about the littering and to my surprise a woman staff of the school ask me whether I'm sure that the ones littering are students from the school.

"This littering has been going on daily and I hope either the school or NEA can do something about it."

I will like to comment that b7773330w's arguement is invalid.
Firstly, as a resident residing near ITE college west, I myself have witnessed many appalling acts of littering by students studying there.
Secondly, most visitors would take the traffic light located at the front entrance rather than the overhead bridge which is located at the sides.
Thirdly, the general public going there are mostly joggers and grocery aunties. Smoking decreases the stamina of the body and I am sure they are aware of that. I also do not believe they will bring their own styrofoam cups to drink there either as shown in the picture.
Lastly, there are many places with such facilities as well. However, are those places as dirty as this? My answer is no. Have a nice day (:

b777300w it does not matter whether it's a JC or Uni if the students littered the public will definitely post it. As for evidence you can go there yourself during their break time at around 10 to 10.30am and you will see them smoking and littering on the bridge.

Haiz! If anyone wants to defend them, make sure the cigarrete is out of your mouth, blow out the smoke first, before trying to defending..... there are hardly any residents using that bridge other than the students, who else will be so free as to go to that bridge to dispose the waste?

Smoke, drink, eat whatever,...just be a little more considerate and keep that place clean, and not like some wild dogs who shit and pee all over the place.

You DO KNOW that ITE BukitBatok has already been shut down/ shifted to ITE CHUA CHU KANG. Don't just ASSUME it's all the doings of an ITE student. It's easy to blame someone, but to arrow the students of ITE, when there's other school like KEMING Primary, is another.
