Arrogant Olympic Judo champion humiliates opponent: Strip him of his medal

STOMPer James hopes that the Olympic Judo gold medalist, Mansur Isaev from Russia, will be disqualified. The STOMPer says he sat on his opponent and humiliated him, which is tantamount to disqualification in the International Judo Federation referee rules.

Wrote James, who also attached photos of the match:

"The Olympic Judo -- 73kg gold medallist, Russia's Mansur Isaev arrogantly sat on the defeated Riki Nakaya from Japan after his victory in the final game on 30 July 2012.

"He deliberately climbed back onto Nakaya to gesture his victory in the humiliating manner after the time runs out in his favour in the gold medal match.

"Isaev said, 'I wanted to prove not only to him but myself that I'm the best in the world.'

"Judo is a Japanese sport that emphasises the values of respect, politeness and modesty, as can be seen in the protocol of bowing to the opponent before and after the game.

"According to the International Judo Federation Referee Rules, to make unnecessary calls, remarks or gestures derogatory to the opponent or Referee during the contest, warrant a Hansoku Make (grave infringement penalty) i.e. disqualification.

"I hope that the Olympic committee would disqualify him for his uncalled-for actions but more importantly, that my Judo friends in Singapore are reminded of the values in this sports along their learning journey and victories.

"I assume Isaev would join Usain Bolt in the list of arrogant athletes soon."

This is why I think the Olympics represents sportsmanship like turtles represent speed.

Obviously, he did it for Mr Putin. Japan and Russia have been involving in sovereignty issues over islands at the north of Japan. The Russian took it personally and politically. I think we should respect our opponent no matter what the result of the game is.
