What's with all this litter? These pics prove Singapore is getting dirtier

STOMPer alice in wonderland notes that there has been an increase in the amount of litter in public places in Singapore lately.

The STOMPer sent in pictures of litter from all over Singapore.

She describes the situation in two of the areas she pointed out:

"Why is Geylang East lift area so dirty?

"Somebody do something! Can't the RC members see this and do something about it?

"The whole stretch of drain outside Block 33 and 34 Tanglin Halt Road is also choked with rubbish and dead leaves."

Locals blame foreigners all the time. Locals think they're 'perfect' when they're not. Dumbasses.

Funny to see locals blame everything on foreigners. We complain almost about everything but yet, never reflect on ourself first. Almost everyone litters and that is the main problem for causing Singapore to be dirty. Even with enforcement taking place, litter is a big issue to control as the mindset of the people never change. :(

I find it sordid to notice how some of my local friends here can easily blame it on foreigners. DO you THINK a foreigner is ensuring walking under your HDB block and making it dirty! At least 70-80% of HDB's are occupied by locals, unless rented out and you guys got to be kidding if you think you can blame foreigners for your surroundings getting dirty. If you can't have unity, don't bring in trash of your low thoughts either! You guys can't talk about the trash on the streets when you'll have such a trashy approach towards people. Why not observe construction sites.... they areas are usually filled with foreign workers... sadly how come the area they work hard around for atleast 8-10hrs a day isnt dirty... oh wait, they are waiting to pass by your block's bin to trash everything there! When those foreign workers come and build luxury malls and where you live, you don't seem to notice those areas but once a place is up and ready for 1000s of humans to walk by, you blame foreigners!

HOW CAN YOU single out our PRC friends as the worst culprits of all !!? ON what sources of statistics did you derived your conclusion from ? Isn't some Sin people being the ones who didn't set or show good examples to our foreign friends ? For example, my neighbour just discard their stinky durian shells at the rubbish bin chutes. Similarly, another cook their smelly oily pungent curry polluting the corridor with smoke !

With local Singaporeans now outnumbered by foreigners, what do you expect? These visitors who have failed to integrate with us, have brought their 3rd world customs and habits here.
