Thorny branches obstruct access to fire hydrant at Joo Chiat

STOMPer MJ spotted these thorny branches obstructing access to a fire hydrant at Mangis Road in the Joo Chiat area.

Said the STOMPer:

This remind me of a story my lecturer told me...a fire broke out in a commercial building...fireman got problem locate the nearest hydrant...no choice they had to go to the next hydrant further down. After fire put out...hydrant was right there..why?? because all the kaypohs block it from view!!!

Firefighters are ironmen. They can stand these thorny branches and furthermore they always carry an axe which they can cut these branches.

Huh? This is a challenge to the firemen? Our SCDF? You got to be kidding, right? In time of emergencies, our SCDF can break a door down, but cannot remove the thorny bush?
