Foreign family ignores sign at reservoir park and takes big dog for a walk

STOMPer Merlion Wayfarer encountered some inconsiderate park users at the Lower Peirce Reservoir. They were noisy, rollerblading and had a big dog in tow. According to the sign at the entrance, dogs are not allowed.

Said the STOMPer:

"Inconsiderate park users who can't read signs.

"I met some inconsiderate park users today at the Lower Peirce Reservoir.

"The most noisy was this foreign family with four kids.

"Two of them bladed all the way from the park entrance to reservoir, while the other two bawled very loudly that you could hear them from the other side of the boardwalk across the reservoir.

"The parents were talking loudly to control the kids.

"They even had a huge dog which took up half the boardwalk's width in tow.

"The weird thing is that obvious signs were placed at the entrances of the boardwalk at both sides, and they chose to ignore them."

Did you talk to them and tell them that they are not allowed to bring dogs into the park?

@janeseeit...which lawlessness shithole did u come from? There are clear laws and rules governing pets being brought into a public park in Singapore, if u don't like it, just fuxk back to ur lawless shithole and do whatever u want. BUT while u are here, u are required to follow the rules here. One word of advice here, we have sensitive religious considerations as well governing the presence of dogs, as our compatriots from a certain religion cannot come into contact with dogs. We fully respect them...do u or u came from a shithole that knows no respect for others? Or u are simply those self-centered jerks who think u can do whatever you want...Singapore is no place for obnoxious piece of shi+ like U. FUXK-OFF!

Please lah... as if local children are not noisy. My local neighbour's baby scream and cry all at the same time in the middle of the night. I feel like going over and throw the baby out of the window. Local teen always talk and laugh loudy in the all eating places, and play noisy loud music in the bus as if they don't know what is call earphones. Worst when the music is so loud until the earphone cannot contain the sound. They are like people who are deaf at such a young age.

Why dogs are not allowed? As long as they are leashed, I think it is ok. Singapore is so hostile towards dogs. Where can we bring our dogs for walks? Dogs also need to go out of the house.

Nationalist; these are NATIONALIST remarks. There is an implied superiority of culture, not race. Important difference: Singaporeans do not hate immigrants for having a certain genetic make-up.

We dislike the cultural tendencies of certain immigrants.

Singapore is not about multi-culturalism, but cultural assimimlation. Everyone is free to stay, but we expect immigrants to conform to our practices. One of those is adherence to public order.

@cynthiama, I presumed you are still a young adult just stepping into the cruel business world. I appreciate and admire your zeal in serving the poorer community in Singapore, and I am glad to know that we have noble people like you who volunteer to help the poor. Keep up the good works and continue to have that fire in you. You are the very hope of Singapore's future, as we should not and can never depends on foreigners to chart our future!
