Please mind your manners: Man spits into drain at Pasir Ris
STOMPer Joanbenji was disgusted to see a man spitting into a drain in Pasir Ris this morning (20 June).
Said the STOMPer:
"Why can't these people understand that spitting in public is disgusting?
"I see a lot of people spitting, yet nothing seems to be done about it.
"And it always seems to be the older people who are doing it.
"No one ever seems to get caught, and there doesn't seem to be any enforcement to emphasise it.
"It's also quite gross if you happen to step on it too."

Agreed with what rettsufied said on 23 Jun, 2012:
Old people have to spit it out, they can't just swallow. Please understand that as people grow old there will be phlegm and you can't expect them to just swallow. It is very very hard for them to breathe like this.
