What Bugs Me
Customer charged exorbitant prices at restaurant run by foreigners

STOMPer Sam said he was fleeced by a restaurant in Tiong Bahru run by Chinese nationals.

Said the STOMPer:

"Beware of this shop located at 58 Seng Poh Road in Tiong Bahru.

"$10 for a small chicken drumstick, $10 for a few pieces of char siew and $3 for plain soup without meat.

"The food was only so-so and there was no air-con.

"We were overcharged for hawker-quality place and food, and worst of all, we were not full."

@stomper
You claim that you have been fleeced, yet you have no evidence provided, so you are probably slandering the owners of the restaurant after they had offended you in one way or another.
You have only yourself to blame for buying food at exorbitant prices(provided you weren't lying about the prices)
How would you be so sure that the store is run by PRCs? They might have already obtained PR status or might even be Singaporeans. You seem to be trying to widen the rift between Singaporeans and Chinese Nationals. Everything that goes wrong you blame the PRCs

P.S. If you didn't know, stomp isn't a complain site. If you want complain, you could always discuss with your "auntie" friends. Your complain would probably be more well received then.

This is NOT true!! I've been a patron of this shop for many years and their food is great and the prices is reasonable. Please go and try the food before smearing their name. A plate of delicious roast pork & roast duck noodle costs only S$4.50 and it is definitely filling. I've brought many friends there for the last 6 years and we've always had a good experience. Go try it yourselves and speak for yourselves instead of listening to other's rubbish!

tsk tsk tsk.... For those who are saying " should check the price first ..." I do not think they know Singapore culture , especially if you buy food from a coffee shop or hawker center ..... Not going to elaborate here ... for Singaporeans to know and “People” to find out .... but to be fair , I think the boss is a Singaporean with a PRC wife ... if I am not wrong ...

Beware of some PRC food stall who use chemical for their soup such as essence of fish, chicken, pork. Just 1 drop and the whole pot of soup is done. Dun need to boil from chicken bone or pork bone. Magic.
