Clean and green Singapore no more? Just look at East Coast beach

STOMPer Ong was disappointed to see East Coast beach in this state of rubbish strewn mess and wonders if Singapore can still be called a clean and green city.

Ong said:

"This photo was taken on May 20, 2012 at East Coast beach.

"Everything is self-explanatory.

"The place is full of rubbish.

"So this is our so-called clean and green city?"

We're clean and green. As in SG is a garden city. We never claimed to have pristine white beaches or blue waters.
Our beaches are dirty because of ppl there and also the result of being the busiest port of call in the world. Lotsa stuffs gets dumped off ships and boats.
