Unlicensed money lender sends sms to attract potential customers
STOMPer Silver was concerned that sms from unlicensed money lenders that promised loans could end up entrapping people.
Said the STOMPer:
"Due to recent advertising restrictions for licensed money lenders, many people who want to borrow money, especially those who don't have web services, are having problems searching for licensed money lenders.
"In fact, some are not aware that such sms are from unlicensed money lenders.
"Problems arise after taking such loans, include threatening, harassing, or even committing suicide."
