STOMPer Nurhidaya Wati and her partner Muhd Isa faced strong objections from their parents to their relationship, as she is older than him. The couple's love and patience and their belief in each other helped them through the tough times.
Nurhidaya Wati wrote:
"8 December 2003 was the day me and my partner started our relationship.
"It all happened when we worked part-time at one of the fast-food restaurants. HE was my trainee and I was a trainee manager.
"Well my name is Nurhidaya Wati and my partner is Muhd Isa. How I fell in love with him... hmm he was a patient guy, soft-hearted and really caring.
"And as for me I'm bad-tempered, loving and understanding. Our love and caring makes us stronger to grow this relationship.
"In our relationship both of us had to give and take for each other, care about each other's feelings, share our feelings, share our problems and solve problems.
"As for Isa he is good in solving and as for me I love to remind him what we can take or not.
"The challenge that we been through in our relationship is our both parents.
"Our parents did not agree to our relationship.
"Do you know why? For me that time is nonsense. JUST because of our age gap. I'm older than him by 1 year and it created a BIG problem for both sides.
"His mum persuaded me to break up with him but I didn't want because we've been together for 2 years that time.
"Oh my God just imagine breaking up with the guy that I trusted so much.
"But our love and our patience and believing in each other made us stronger to hold on and endure any circumstances that we had to go through. I always kept reminding my partner to pray to Allah.
"He is always there for us and prays for the best for us.

"The day after I came back from my late grandpa's hometown in Bogor, Indonesia.
"My mom asked me if I really wanted to continue the relationship or not. I told my mum with confidence that I wanted to continue this relationship not as girlfriend or boyfriend, but I wanted him to be my life-partner.
"My dad and mum agreed and wanted my boyfriend to came for a proposal and we get engaged on 31 December 2011.
"We are getting married soon. I am happy with what my partner and I have been through. As for me, in a relationship the most important things is communication, family, give and take.
"I told him that our love is full of obstacles but we remain calm and now the problems are solved."
