STOMPer Yuan Bin fell for Tricia a day after meeting her. He kept his feelings to himself for a week before plucking up the courage to confess his love for her.
Yuan Bin wrote:
"Have you ever thought that you might fall in love with someone you know for less than a day, and it will eventually last for 2 years?
"Me and my girlfriend met in a match of poker at the side of the basketball court 2 years back. I played cheat and she scolded me and that's how we started talking.
"Me and my girlfriend ware actually playing poker then she started saying she was bored and wanted to go out the next day and she took down my number and asked both of our friends out and we planned to play pool at Yishun Safra.
"As we stay just opposite each other, we met up in the morning and went to meet the rest of our friends together. After we had our lunch we cabbed down to Safra to play. I was standing at the side watching them play then when I looked at her, her charm caught my eye so I plucked up my courage and talked and chatted with her.
"She was pretty friendly and we started getting into a conversation then she suddenly said she wanted to go out to have fresh air so I tagged along. Then after the game at Safra we went back to our usual place to play basketball.
"I then volunteered to send her home as I was staying beside her. So we went to have stroll and that is when I realized I had really fallen for her even thought it was just a day out together.
"But I didn't dare to confess so I used some excuse to talk to her more as I wanted to get into her world. Then she started to talk to me about her boyfriend who doesn't really care about her.
"At that point of time I thought I stood no chances of talking more to her until she told me that she really enjoy talking to me. After the 1 week of loving her in silence, I finally confessed and told her that I loved her.
"She was shocked and thought I was joking. I then spent the month of March talking and comforting her till night. I brought her porridge and she was touched by my act. She was confused as there was a rival at that point of time who is my friend. I quarrelled with her telling her I am jealous and she finally also admitted that she loved me and was willing to give me a chance to be her guy.
"Since the day we started our relationship, she was so shy that she didn't even dare to hold my hand unless I took the initiative to hold her hand. Sometimes I hold her hand and she will clutch it so tightly that I asked why. Then she said she doesn't want to lose me
"In order to make her have more initiative, I always challenge her to a game off free throw shoot out at the basketball court.
"If she loses she will have to kiss me. From then on, she started taking the initiative with me and even though she thought it was weird at first as she and I were not used to each other's presence, things eventually worked out whenever we were alone and talked things out.
"I still remember that she screamed and shouted at me about the things I did wrong and I will use some weird action or move to make her laugh and I will start explaining to her.
"I was so stupid that I betrayed her trust and tried to do something bad behind her back. She found out and she cried and hi me countless times.
"She was so upset till she hurt herself and became someone that seemed soulless! I promised her that I will change, but she was still upset and she raked it up at times and started crying.
"She was so depressed that she even cried alone at night. After all those things happened she was still willing to forgive me even thought I did it so many times.
"Till the day I woke up and realised I had done something really wrong and I had nearly lost someone so important to me!
"I was so guilty that since those incidents happened I never retaliated nor talked back to her whenever she was at fault, but this has lead to a lot of quarrels as sometimes i will voice out those things that I'm unhappy about and she wasn't used to it and she of course shouted at me.
"I then realized that she was still very sad about all those things I did to her.
"I have to admit that I was selfish to let her suffer all this and yet control her so tightly and she still didn't breath a single word of complaint.
"Until I got into trouble with the law, and was being sent for some programmes that made me only able to see her once or twice a week.
"Other than that she has to came all the way down to my workplace to accompany me. One day when we were having lunch, we started talking about all our problems and promised each other that we have to work it out out as we are very deeply attracted to one another.
"We then started to get things moving with her teaching me how to control my temper as I get pissed off easily. She will usually shout or retaliate or beat me. After we made the promise, she would really sit down and calm me down then explain to me till I realized it was my fault.
"I finally realized that she was the one that I really love! That I really want to spend my life with.
"I love you babylo. Sorry for my foolish mistake that caused you to be so sad. If you happen to see this, I hereby promise you that I will cherish you as much as I cherish my life.
