It was love at first sight for STOMPer Aaron and his girlfriend Dawn. As she walked away after their first meeting, he says his heart 'melted and flowed into the drain'.
Aaron wrote:
"Our story has lasted for 1 year and 9 months, and still counting. I am writing in this story to give my girlfriend a surprise, and also to show the
world how much we love each other.
"It all started 2 years ago, near my house void deck. I was slacking with my best friend named 'K'. We were chatting about our childhood and suddenly Dawn texted K.
"K asked me if I wanted to meet his friend (which is Dawn). K also said that she is a very nice and understanding girl and she's cute and short. So I was like, what? Really?! Let's get there right now!
"The reason for my reaction was that she's the girl I'm looking for. While we were walking in Dawn's direction, I could felt my heart pumping so fast and I myself
did not know why this was happening. We reached, sat down together, and I was facing her.
"Looking into her eyes, I could felt my heart melting and my hands shaking. As Dawn was friendly, she said 'Hi' to me, I said 'Hello' back to her. After greeting each other, we became silent, looking at each other.
"I was thinking of getting her number at that point of time, but I was shy and scared (I used to be shy). During the silent moment, K asked us why we were not talking?
"I kept quiet, heart pumping so hard that I could feel my blood flowing in every parts of my body. I realised that I liked her. Maybe your can say that it's love at first sight. So K went to talk to Dawn about school stuff and I was just sitting there hoping to get her number.
"The time was up and Dawn's dad was there to fetch her home. I said 'Bye Bye' to Dawn and she said bye back to me. As I saw her walked away, my heart melted (just now) and flowed into the drain (now). The feeling was indescribable.
"After she went home, I kept persuading K to give me Dawn's number. So K agreed and he gave it to me.
"A few days later, I texted Dawn and asked her if she could be my girlfriend without knowing her. Dawn replied me and that was the moment our relationship developed into another stage.
"On that day when Dawn said yes, Dawn also said that she also felt it was love at first sight. We were both amazed. We got together on 10052010; 7.23pm.
"We would call each other up almost every night till 2 or 3am. I would buy her food and drinks during break. I would accompany her when she was self studying. We went through a lot, good and bad times, sweet and bitter times.
"We used to quarrel and I would make Dawn cry, make her heartbroken, and make her sad. Dawn would give me chances and time to make amends for my mistakes. Again and again I made Dawn cry.
"6 months had passed.
"There was one time when I sent Dawn home, and her parents saw me at the balcony. A few days later, I was called up to my girlfriend's house. I bet your must have felt the feeling of stepping into your partner's house and their parents would be sitting on the sofa waiting for your arrival?
"Those feelings were worse then a roller coaster ride! Dawn's parents found out that I am a Normal tech student and Dawn was an Express student, so her parents disapproved of us getting together. But we didn't gave up and we were very happy together.
"We proved ourselves to them, and Dawn's parent finally approved of us being together. We were really happy.
"21 months have passed.
Till now, Dawn's family treats me really good. We still have dinner together. We would go shopping. When there's an event, Dawn's family would call me up. We would go overseas together. They wouldn't miss a thing without me.
"I would like to say sorry, 'Sorry Girlfriend, thank you for always forgiving me. If i didn't know you, I wouldn't be who I am today'.
"Lastly, hope we'll pull through school and NS (: I love you baby! xoxo! <3 :DDDDD"
